GKN’s “Brilliant Basics” Deployment – Find it, Fix it, Improve it!
The Brilliant Basics emphasize a systematic problem-solving methodology throughout the organization. It commences with the implementation of a “Daily Management System,” which is utilized to identify issues and develop short-term countermeasures to mitigate their impact at the source. Subsequently, comprehensive “Problem-Solving” methodologies and tools are applied to create mid-range countermeasures aimed at preventing the recurrence of these problems. Finally, “Breakthrough Initiatives” are enacted to address and eliminate the root causes of issues, ensuring their long-term resolution.
